Piano & Specialty Movers in Spokane
Careful piano, safe, antique, and artwork moving across Spokane. We bring the right equipment and technique to protect what you can't replace.
A piano is heavy in all the wrong places. High center of gravity, delicate action inside, and a finish that scratches if you set a belt buckle against it. The same is true of a 600-pound gun safe, a marble-top antique dresser, or a framed painting that has hung in your family for three generations. These are the moves where technique matters more than muscle, and they are the ones we are known for around Spokane.
We have moved pianos and specialty items on our way to more than 1,000 completed jobs since 2018, and we show up with gear built for the work: piano dollies, skid boards, stair-climbing safe jacks, ramps, straps, and enough padding to wrap every corner twice. Before anything leaves the room, we measure the piece, the doorways, the stairs, and the tight turns, then map the path. That is how a baby grand gets down a staircase without a mark on the wall or the wood.
Pianos, safes, and the pieces you can’t replace
Uprights, consoles, spinets, baby grands, home safes, gun safes, gym equipment, armoires, oversized artwork, and heirloom furniture all get the same care. Fragile and awkward items are wrapped, padded, and secured before they travel an inch. When a grand needs its legs and lyre removed to move safely, we handle the disassembly and put it right back together at the other end. If you want the full rundown, read our guide on how to move a piano.
For a full-house move, specialty handling folds right into your local move, and we can crate delicate items as part of our packing services.
Careful handling, start to finish
The crew that wraps your piano is the same crew that carries it, loads it, and sets it in its new spot. We never combine your belongings with another customer’s load. Your items ride on a truck dedicated to your move, strapped down so nothing slides on the road, whether we are crossing Spokane or heading into North Idaho.
Pricing is upfront, with no surprise fees tacked on at the end. Most specialty jobs come down to the item, the weight, and the access at both homes, so the quickest way to a real number is to tell us what you are moving.

How it works
- 1
Walkthrough and measurements
We size up the piece, the doorways, the stairs, and the turns, then plan the safest path and the right gear before moving day.
- 2
Protect and prep
We pad, wrap, and secure each item, and remove piano legs and lyres or safe doors when it makes the move safer.
- 3
Careful lift and transport
The same crew lifts with proper technique onto dollies and skids, loads your dedicated truck, and straps everything down so nothing shifts.
- 4
Place and reassemble
We set the item exactly where you want it, put back anything we took apart, and haul off all the wrapping.
Frequently asked questions
Can you move both upright and grand pianos?
Yes. We handle uprights, consoles, spinets, and baby grands, and we can partially disassemble a grand (legs, lyre, and pedals) when the size or the path calls for it. Every piano rides on padded dollies and skids and gets strapped down inside the truck so it does not shift on the road.
Do you move gun safes and heavy home safes?
We do. We use safe jacks, stair-climbing dollies, and proper straps to move safes up and down stairs and through tight doorways. Tell us the weight and where the safe sits when you call, so we bring the right equipment the first time.
How do you protect antiques and artwork?
We blanket-wrap furniture, pad the corners, and shrink-wrap drawers and doors so nothing swings open in transit. Mirrors, glass, and framed art are wrapped and, when needed, crated. Careful handling of fragile, one-of-a-kind pieces is exactly what this service is built around.
Will you tune the piano after the move?
We are movers, not piano technicians, so we do not tune. A piano usually needs a few weeks to settle into the temperature and humidity of its new home before it holds a tuning, so we suggest scheduling a technician a couple of weeks after we finish.
Does the same crew handle the whole move?
Yes. The same crew that starts your move finishes it, on a truck dedicated to your household, so the people who wrapped and loaded your piano are the ones who set it back down. No mixed loads and no hand-offs to a second team.
